SCUP/AIA Excellence in Planning Awards

In its second year, the joint Excellence in Planning Award collaboration between SCUP and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) resulted in an even greater number of outstanding entries than last year. Learn about the key issues and planning principles the jury found compelling in defining ³excellence in planning.² Joe Szutz the 2001­2002 committee chair, the award winners, and other key participants discuss the entry and selection process as well as the winning projects.

This knowledge resource from SCUP is a concurrent session presented at the Society's thirty-seventh annual, international conference and Expo, SCUP–37, in San Diego, CA (USA), in July of 2002.
