The Shape of Planning: Effective Planning Organization in Universities and Colleges
Presenter(s): Philip J. Parsons, Parsons Consulting Group; O. Robert Simha, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Learn about how planning is organized in colleges and universities, and various models for a reporting structure, staffing, and funding. Is physical planning seen as a discrete function, or is it integrated with financial and academic planning? What alternative models exist, and are some more successful than others? This session will explore different approaches to organizing an integrated approach to planning, and will allow participants to evaluate their own planning structures and compare them with those of colleagues in other institutions. |
