Williams Village at CU-Boulder: Critical Alignment of Town and Gown Missions
Presenter(s): Jeff McMenimen, Design Workshop, Inc; Gregory L. Strickler, Anderson Strickler; Derrick Watson, University of Colorado-Boulder
The goals of an institution and those of the community in which it resides are like the poles of a magnet: they often repel, but occasionally they attract. The Williams Village at the University of Colorado-Boulder has experienced both forces. The presentation will examine: the forces that once separated the parties and the ones that now unite them; the master plan that will guide the development of this mixed-use project; and the implementation strategy that will ensure eventual success for all stakeholders. |

| Due to our concern for the privacy of members of the face-to-face audiences at SCUP37, our digital archives of SCUP37 presentations end at the beginning of the question and answer portion of each session. Whenever we can, we not only provide streaming audio but the slide show or visual presentation used by the presenters, as well. |
